Named for the Parisian business men who favored this simple gouter, the petite almond flour cookies known as financier were originally shaped to resemble rectangular bars of gold. Legend has it that the pastries were invented by a baker whose shop was on the Rue St.-Denis, near the Bourse, the financial district in Paris. Colson Patisserie’s take on the classic confection is a small, round cookie w/ a generous foundation of chocolate ganache at its base. The almond flour creates a cloud-like cake that is slightly caramelized around the the edges w/ sugar, & melds beautifully w/ the dark chocolate on bottom. Each box contains 30 cookies (Approximately 1.2lb)

Colson Patisserie’s rugelach are delightful little crescents of flaky pastry dough made w/ cream cheese & rolled w/ nuts, sugar, & apricot jam. Resembling a small, dense, croissant, rugelach originated in Hungary, gained popularity in Europe, & were adapted in America. The term ‘rugalech’ comes from the Yiddish word ‘rugel’ meaning ‘royal,’ which appropriately describes the carefully rolled pastry that reveals sweet, rich flavors between its layers of cream cheese dough. Each box contains 20 cookies (Approximately 1lb)

Can you put more Gluten free products ( muffins) in your store on Amesterdam. &138 I get coffee there every morning and the only item you have is the lemon cake. I work at Citi college acros the street?
Amazing bakery place
Breakfast sandwiches are the flakiest things ever! Pastries are a tiny bit burned, at least when I visited, but still pretty good.
MorePastries are great. Very tasty and fresh. Latte was good too. Chic & clean environment. Sitting inside is an issue. It fits 4 tables.
MoreEverything here looked so tasty! Ordered a bacon and egg sandwich and apple cheddar scone, both of which were delicious. I especially liked the texture of the scone 😋 the service was super friendly, even with a very long line. Can’t wait to try more here!
MoreSo friendly and great coffee. Impressive selection of baked goods but just not the flakiest or best tasting I’ve had here. Still highly recommend and I’ll try the others!
MoreGreat coffee, amazing pastries, best macarons and the counter staff today was very nice and friendly.
MoreThis is the absolute best place to stop for an espresso en route to Prospect Park. The pastries are perfectly sinful, one can always gaze at local art on the exposed brick walls and the staff is nothing short of delightful. I don't care if a massive stroller is blocking the entrance at all times. It's worth the scuffle. Miss you, Colson!
MoreTruly superb baguettes.
Pastries are flat and have no taste! Used to be much better!!
Good pastries but it’s a bit expensive. Cute place though.
My lovely place, here amazing cappuccino and almond croissants 😻
Great pastries not so great customer service.
best bakery in park slope! the croissants.and pastries are A+++. its always packed but the staff does a great job of getting orders out fast.
MoreWe love colson
Love, love, LOVE the cappuccino! Especially since they always add a little design that stays until your last sip! The staff is very friendly and inviting. The teddy bear cookies and the almond croissants are to die for! Please don't get me started on the baked oatmeal! ! ! Love this place on an early Saturday morning! Yum!
MoreI tried a sour cherry🍒 hand pie and an almond croissant. Both were delicious. They had all the usual coffee/barista type offerings. It was quiet with a few tables available. Quite a few neighborhood moms wandering in with their child to get them a treat. I’d definitely stop in again.
MoreSpiffy interior. Delicious coffee drinks with plant based milks. Today, they had a vegan muffin! Yay! No other vegan options, alas. At least they have one option and almond milk!
MoreSmall coffee shop with some decent pastries
Excellent coffee! But lumpy matcha. You have to sift matcha powder before using it! 😑So yeah, I recommend the coffee.
MoreGreat expresso coffees, which can be difficult to find. Amazing pastries and breads that are fresh each day. The service is friendly and helpful delivered with a smile. Highly recommended to anyone in the area.
MoreBest patisserie in park slope, friendly staff and good coffee. Everything in here is baked on premises
MoreBest quiche ever. I am not a fan of quiches. But this patisserie makes it taste like a really, really good omelette or pot pie. Both fluffy and filling. Thank you for making me know what a quiche was meant to be like. The service is laid back in a great way and the salad that came with the quiche was wonderful...made you feel okay about eating the entire decadent quiche.
MoreIf you look for German style bread or Baguette, you are welcome. Great assortment and all other sweet things you will get at a bakery outside of Germany ;-)
MoreGreat staff, great coffee, amazing pastries (although I think they overloaded the raspberry jam donut), clean and well designed! Love it!
MoreQuaint and charming local neighborhood bakery with both sweet and savory options, good coffee, small bread selection, friendly service.
MoreAwesome menu and very cosy place!!!
Very nice people, excellent pastries, fresh coffee. I wish it were across the street from my apt.
MoreWhole wheat croissant is a whole lot of delicious.
we love colsons - best pastries and lovely staff!
Small neighborhood corner patisserie with a nice selection of pastries ranging from cakes, tarts, breads, and viennoiseries. Seating is limited and tight depending on the time of day. Space is bright and welcoming given the north west exposure from the large windows.
MoreRich and sweet French pastries, great coffee and bakery goods. Also gluten free options but this all comes at a cost cause it's not cheap.
MoreBest French bakery in town
Good food. Incredible bakery but the atmosphere is really quite the downer. Park slope tensions at an all time high but it's no fault of the very professional staff.
MoreGreat selection of pastries & coffee!
Great sandwich and pastry shop in Brooklyn. Crossant and coffee, yum.
Sweet tooth heaven right over here... I’m still reminiscing about the lemon tart 🍋 deliciousness. Golden Turmeric Latte is a must! Industry City’s Food Hall is a delicious culinary gathering. Colson’s ads that cherry on the Sunday! MON - FRI: 7:30AM - 6PM SAT - SUN: 10:30AM - 6PM BUILDING 3
MorePulled out of the cold wind for a latte and a bite to eat.The latte was good and the tuna salad nicoise was surprisingly tasty and very fresh. Service was friendly and efficient. Ambiance was mellow and familiar. Through the course of my salad - and those irritating business texts that require an immediate response - I was joined by a number of others taking respite from the cold wind. A gay couple, a young mother with two young kids off to a doctor's appointment, a grandfather bringing his grandson in for a tantalising pastry, and a dad coming in with his daughter that he had just picked up at school and was treating to a sticky waffle. An interesting and eclectic cross section of Park Slope in Brooklyn.Highly recommend this stopover on 9th street for a coffee & pastry or something more substantial - I noticed that there is a breakfast menu, but that it is only served until 1:00pm.
MoreThis place is excellent, but don’t go there if you are in a rush.
Love the food and service here. Macarons are pretty good, maybe one of the best in Brooklyn. Quality, taste, etc. is always consistent and the service is always friendly. I have never had to wait long even if it is packed. Must try here: financiers, macarons, tarts, ispahans, eclairs. I would say the only thing I don't like are waffles, but I prefer waffles to be eaten as soon as they are made imo. Coffee is good here as well (have onky had lattes, chai, espresso).
MoreVery nice French place that has so many beautiful tarts and croissants. Their drinks are always well-made. They do run out quickly, so make sure you come before the lunch crowd.
MoreLove this place for their pastries!
What a lovely neighborhood patisserie in the heart of Park Slope at the corner of 9th Street and 6th Avenue. Always nice to stop there for one of their delicious coffees and pastries. Ask for the daily specials!
MoreDelicious pastries (almond croissant is my fave) and great supporters of our neighborhood. Thank you for your donation to PS107!
MoreSunset Park Broonklyn
Delicious pastries and food. Nice & friendly staff
The little Frangipane cakes with chocolate on the bottom are delicious! I like that their pastries are not too sweet. We went for the jelly donuts and ask for one jelly and one custard donut and wound up wit two custard donuts. This is not the worst thing in the world. I do really love their jelly donuts so I'll make extra sure next time we go there. Also got a pastry called a gosette filled with sour cherries. It was nice but not as good as jelly donuts or the chocolate Frangipane. We were happy that we got out of there without buying any eclairs. It took all our strength!
MoreCharming cafe with a tasty house--made lemon vinegrette that speaks of summer great on the green salad. How about with lamb?
MoreGrabbed almond lemon bread for thanks giving it was tasty .
I basically grew up eating French croissants every day so I’d like to think I’m a bit of an expert, and Colson has the best croissants (+ pain au raisin and pain au chocolat) in Brooklyn. 10/10
MoreThere's not much to say about this place. French pastries. Delicious. Can't find better.
